MetroRadar 2.2.2: a major update to the interface, routes and notifications

Version 2.2.2 introduces major changes to the MetroRadar interface. We refreshed the map, profile, onboarding and sign-in screens to make the first launch and everyday use simpler and more consistent.

Alerts, station callouts and disruption information are clearer too. Important details are easier to spot on the map, and events are presented around what passengers need before starting a journey.

We improved the process for reporting events and reviewing your own submissions. The steps are clearer, while report history makes it easier to revisit an earlier signal and check its current status.

The My Routes section has also been redesigned. Saved journeys are easier to manage and connect more closely with alerts, helping the app focus on the parts of the network that matter to everyday travel.

Expanded notification settings provide more precise control over the information delivered to your phone. You can select watched lines and match alerts to your needs instead of following every event in the city.

Quiet hours limit notifications at selected times, while better alert links open the relevant app screen. Tapping a notification takes you to the information it refers to more quickly.

We improved Android and iOS widgets so they can present current information more reliably. Easier account management also brings the most important profile and data controls together.

The release includes numerous accessibility, stability, privacy, performance, icon and animation improvements. These changes are less visible than a new map, but they matter for smooth, safe and predictable everyday use.
