Terms of use

Rules for using the MetroRadar mobile app and metroradar.pl. Version 1.0, effective from 11 July 2026.

1. Operator and contact

MetroRadar is operated and provided by Przemysław Królikowski, Aluzyjna 15/28, 03-149 Warsaw, Poland. For questions about the service, reports or complaints, email metroalertwarszawa@gmail.com or use the contact form at metroradar.pl.

2. Scope and acceptance

These terms cover the MetroRadar app for iOS and Android, metroradar.pl and features connected with accounts, notifications and passenger reports. By starting to use the service, you enter into a free agreement with the operator for the period in which you use it and agree to follow these terms. If you cannot enter into such an agreement or give a required consent on your own, use the service with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Nature and scope of the service

MetroRadar is an independent information service for Warsaw public transport. It may present WTP and operator announcements, passenger reports, active incidents, a map, saved routes and lines, favourite stations, widgets and push alerts. MetroRadar is not an official WTP or transport-operator app and does not represent them. The availability of individual features may differ between operating systems and app versions.

4. Charges and technical requirements

The current version of MetroRadar is provided free of charge and without advertising. Any optional paid feature would require its price and terms to be shown in advance and a separate decision from the user. The service requires a compatible device and operating system, an internet connection and installation from the App Store or Google Play. Your network provider may charge for data, and app stores apply their own terms.

5. Accounts

Current announcements can be viewed without an account. An account may be required to synchronise preferences, save selected data or use some community features. Provide accurate details, protect access to the account and do not share it with another person. You can delete the account in profile settings; if you cannot access the app, send a request from the email address linked to the account. The privacy policy explains what happens to the associated data.

6. Routes, location and notifications

You can select lines, stations, routes and transport modes and enable notifications. Approximate location is optional and is used only after device permission is granted for a feature that needs it. You can change location and notification permissions at any time in the app or system settings. Alert delivery also depends on connectivity, device settings and Apple or Google services, so delivery within a particular time is not guaranteed.

7. Sources and timeliness

Information may come from WTP and operator announcements, other public sources and passenger reports. MetroRadar identifies the source and, where available, the update time, but transport conditions change quickly and data may be incomplete, delayed, withdrawn or wrong. A community report is not an official announcement. Before making an important decision, read the full source information and follow instructions from the authorities and transport staff.

8. Passenger reports

Submit only information related to the current operation of public transport that you believe to be true. Do not include another person’s personal data, photographs of documents, unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, promotional, misleading or unsafe content. Do not impersonate an authority, operator or another person, and do not submit the same report repeatedly. You are responsible for the content you provide and for having the rights needed to publish it.

9. Licence for reports and moderation

By submitting a report, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, technically adapt, combine with other information and make it available within MetroRadar as needed to operate and moderate the service. The operator may label a report’s status, limit its visibility, correct an obvious typo, detach it from an account or remove it, particularly when it is outdated, cannot be verified or breaches these terms. Abuse can be reported through the contact address.

10. Permitted use and intellectual property

MetroRadar, including its code, layout, graphics and identifiers, is protected to the extent that rights belong to the operator or licensors. Third-party announcements and operator names remain the property of their respective owners. You receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. You must not disrupt the service, bypass safeguards, gain unauthorised access or automatically collect data in a way that burdens the system; statutory exceptions remain unaffected.

11. Availability and changes to the service

The operator develops and maintains MetroRadar but does not promise uninterrupted operation or a specified availability level. Interruptions may result from maintenance, failures, changes made by data sources, stores or infrastructure providers, or events outside the operator’s control. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. Where reasonably possible, a material change affecting use of the service or user data will be communicated in the app or on the website.

12. External services and links

The app relies on third-party infrastructure and services, including Apple, Google and Firebase, and may link to operator announcements, app stores and other websites. Those parties apply their own terms and policies. The operator does not control their availability or content but selects integrations needed for MetroRadar with reasonable care.

13. Safety and liability

MetroRadar helps users understand transport conditions but is not an emergency or dispatch system and does not guarantee that a journey will operate. Do not base a safety-critical decision solely on an app alert; in an emergency, follow instructions from the authorities and call 112. The operator is liable under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory user rights.

14. Privacy

The privacy policy at metroradar.pl/en/polityka-prywatnosci explains how personal data and location are processed, how notifications are delivered, retention periods and account deletion. Do not include another person’s personal data in passenger reports.

15. Complaints and support

A service problem or complaint can be sent to metroalertwarszawa@gmail.com or submitted through the contact form. Include a reply address, operating system and app version, a description of the issue and the outcome you expect; never send a password or unnecessary sensitive data. The operator will reply without undue delay, normally within 14 days, using the contact address provided.

16. Ending use and suspension

You may stop using MetroRadar, disable notifications or delete your account at any time. The operator may limit or suspend access to an account or community feature following a breach of these terms, a security risk, attempted abuse or a legal requirement. Where circumstances allow, the user will be told the reason and how to challenge the decision; urgent protective action may be taken without advance notice.

17. Changes to the terms and governing law

These terms may change because of service development, provider changes, security requirements or law. A new version will be published with its effective date, and material changes affecting signed-in users will be communicated in the app or to an available contact address. Polish law applies, without limiting mandatory user rights. Disputes are heard by the court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
