7,500 MetroRadar users — Warsaw checks alerts before travelling
On 1 July 2026, the MetroRadar community passed 7,500 users, marking another stage in the growth of Warsaw's public-transport disruption app.
01
7,500 people, 7,500 different journeys
According to project statistics, MetroRadar passed 7,500 users on 1 July 2026. The number covers many different journeys: a daily trip on M1, a tram-to-M2 interchange, a regional train connection or a bus across one district. What these journeys share is the need to learn about a problem before reaching the platform or stop.
MetroRadar brings supported metro, tram, bus, SKM, Koleje Mazowieckie and WKD information together and lets passengers focus on the modes and saved routes they actually use.
02
A larger community can confirm incidents sooner
Official announcements remain the reference point, while someone at the scene may notice a stopped service, a closed entrance or unusual crowding earlier. A larger community increases the chance of receiving a quick, specific signal — provided that community information is clearly labelled and carefully verified.
Scale is therefore not a goal on its own. The priority is a system in which independent confirmations increase confidence and one uncertain report does not create unnecessary alarm.
03
The next stage: better-targeted alerts
Passing 7,500 users creates a responsibility to keep improving alert accuracy, the disruption map, saved routes and accessibility. Every improvement aims to shorten the time between an incident appearing and a passenger making a sensible route decision.
Thank you to everyone who uses MetroRadar, shares feedback or recommends it. The most meaningful measure is not the counter itself, but the journeys on which someone avoided an unpleasant surprise.
